Today (October 2, 2014) we are excited to announce “Projects” to assist with conservation project design, budgeting, management, reporting, and other workflow needs such as communications, discovery, and search. Projects were custom designed to address the common request by Griffin Groups’ members for sub-groups, and are a hybrid of groups and pages . Projects have customizable settings, an invitation system for group members (groups) or contacts (member profiles), maintain a history of edits and membership changes, and allow other content and projects to be pinned to them. An example project can be viewed here.

Group projects can be added by any member of the group:

  • Navigate to the group where the project should be added
  • Click the “Projects” button on the group side bar
    • Ask your group administrator to edit the group and enable projects if the button is not available.
  • Click the “New project” button in the header

Profile projects can be added to your personal profile and dashboard:

  • Hover over the “Content” tab on the site menu
  • Click the “Projects” button in the list
  • Click the “New profile project” button in the header
